I’m Michael French — counselor, husband, photographer, and author in progress.
I’m the creator and author of this site — grandparent, bonus and adoptive dad, uncle, Chiefs fan, and lifelong lover of pop culture and science fiction. In the 1970s, a television show called In Search Of with Leonard Nimoy explored mysteries and hidden places — each episode a new discovery. Journey Into is patterned after that spirit. Each post ventures somewhere different: an idea, a story, a question worth sitting with. This site is also the companion piece to my first book, Journey Into Grace — a hybrid of memoir, photography, and spiritual reflection, due hopefully in late 2027 or early 2028. Some posts connect directly to the book; others are raw explorations of faith, grief, masculinity, and grace. Pull up a chair.

Photographs from the Journey
Over the next few months, I’ll be adding and rotating some of my photos on here. All taken by my cell phone camera. Sometimes a creative reset comes in silence, camera in hand, watching what is in front of you.
Photography has always been part of the journey for me. Whether I’m standing at the rim of the Grand Canyon or in the middle of the desert, the camera goes where I go. These aren’t just pretty pictures — they’re moments from the journey, captured and held still.
I have a site if you wish to purchase some of my prints in various formats or sizes. I’m slowly adding more photos from places that have spoken to me and gave me pause and a bit of wonder and awe. If one of these images speaks to you, I’d love for it to find a home on your wall.
